Rhinophyma Surgical Treatment
July 2022 v1.0
Surgical treatment for Rhinophyma including excision and laser treatment has been assessed as Low Clinical Priority by the Hertfordshire and West Essex ICB and will only be funded where there are functional problems.
Patient’s symptoms must be outlined in the application and medical photography submitted.
Cohort
The typical cohort would be people who have swelling of the nose which becomes redder, swollen at the end and gains a bumpy surface which changes its shape.
