If nose bleeds are severe or prolonged contact ENT SHO – please note if the person is haemodynamically compromised or bleeding does not stop after 10 – 15 minutes of nasal pressure and the appropriate expertise and facilities for cautery or packing are not available in primary care transfer the person to Accident and Emergency/UTC immediately.
