Initial Management of Neuropathic Pain

Neuropathic Pain Drug Titration and Review

For a patient that presents with neuropathic pain:

  1. Agree on an achievable pain relief goal
  2. Advise patient on the medication, titration regime
  3. Ensure the traffic light assessment tool (see pathway) is explained to the patient and they are asked to complete this
  4. Review after 6 weeks using the traffic light assessment tool
