Nalmefene

Nalmefene is recommended in line with NICE TA 325 https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ta325 when initiated by a specialist within drug and alcohol treatment services with continuous psychosocial support focused on treatment adherence and reducing alcohol consumption. Where appropriate to continue treatment and the GP has been provided with appropriate prescribing and monitoring information prescribing may be continued in Primary Care.
